THREE MINI SERIES ON:
Fashion, Toilets, Cafés

Cuties Spotted

Ongoing fashion-forward series on my newsletter, Objectively.

What makes a cutie: an aesthetically considered outfit; the sense that they are comfortable in their own skin; how I’d love to strike up a conversation with them.

Above The Toilet Bowl

I’ve always found public washrooms to be such peculiar places—seemingly private, yet inherently public. A space of vulnerabilities and camaraderie, etiquette upkept or breached.

I enjoy walking through into the toilet of an establishment, and discovering how similarly or differently it looks to the main space. Tickled sometimes by what I find, I started to collect snapshots of them.

Dreaming of creating a zine as I now have a collection of 40+ toilets around the world.

Here’s an Instagram carousel of the initial collection. And another.

Anthropology of Rooms

An Instagram account featuring scenes of cafés, bars, bookshops, etc. Mostly cafés so far, as I visit one everyday—to work, read, sip on a coffee. Usually an oat flat white, and rarely, an iced americano.
