Tools
○ Adobe Illustrator
○ Adobe Lightroom
○ Squarespace

Plot was a space-for-hire we founded in 2019 to spotlight the creative community. Transforming a temporarily vacant shop into an exhibition space, we showcased the works of 20 artists over four months.

Opportunity

When made known that there was a shop space that was vacant in between leases, I took the opportunity to support the arts and creative community by offering subsidised rental for exhibitions in the space.

Creative partnerships

I handled communications with the artists and curators, overseeing five successful partnerships:
    ○ Set in Stone Gallery
    ○ OH! Open House
    ○ Things Fall Together
    ○ Coming Between, Becoming
    ○ Plot presents Exhibition A

Brand identity

Name

A play on the dual meaning of ‘Plot’:
○ a plot of land or space to experiment with,
○ plotting a plan to utilise the space.

Logo

I designed the logo on Adobe Illustrator based off the actual floor plan of the space, retaining the spiral staircase element as a quintessential feature of shophouses — to emphasise on the charm of Plot as a conservation space. ︎︎︎

The logo was repeated and enlarged on a small card, as a playful way to encourage planning of the use of the space on the card as a drawing board.

Photography

The photography was kept bright and clean, showcasing the space and its features, such as large blank walls and spotlights. The visuals were intentionally kept neutral to encourage imaginings of the space.

Website design

The website included key details about Plot’s facilities and location, portraying how it is a convenient and suitable space-for-hire for a wide range of events.

With a neutral yet inviting tone, we provided examples of what the space could be used for to open people to possibilities for hiring the space.
